Anne McNamee

Psychodynamic Counsellor (BSc, PhD, PgDip, MA), MBACP

Areas of experience:
Depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss.

Anne is a psychodynamic counsellor and professional member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). She has worked in private practice for over 10 years, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss. Previously, she spent several years working with patients and families in a hospice, as well as at another local counselling service.

Anne’s approach supports the recognition and understanding of recurring patterns and ingrained behaviours. Through this approach, she helps clients make sense of their experiences and explore more beneficial and sustaining ways to manage present difficulties, while developing the capacity to adapt to life’s inevitable challenges.

Anne provides a gentle and respectful environment for her consultations. She offers both short-term and long-term therapy, either in person or remotely via video link (Zoom).
